This spa includes afternoon tea at the hotel, as well as 1 x 25 min treatments from: Welcome facial, back, neck and shoulder massage, mini pedicure or mini manicure; complimentary use of spa facilities and the use of robe, towel and slippers. My mum and I came here on an overnight spa press trip a few years ago and were both really impressed. It’s a beautiful this grade II listed 19th Century neo-Jacobean mansion place with huge open log fireplaces, historic paintings and the most gorgeous breakfast room overlooking 157 acres of gardens with deers.
Spa Facilities: Level-decked swimming pool and external vitality pool, 4 thermal experience rooms; a Finnish Sauna, a Caldarium, a Laconium and a Tepidarium. There’s heated lounges, Clarins and Elemis treatment rooms including a dual treatment room.

This is one of my favourite UK spas. I love it in the summer when it’s surrounded by fluorescent yellow rapeseed fields. It’s won lots of awards and is rated as a top-notch 5 bubble spa in the UK Good Spa Guide. The Clarins Mum and Me Time Day package includes a 40-min Clarins Serenity Facial, 3-course buffet lunch, a Clarins gift and skin consultation, plus use of the Thermal spa, pools and gym classes from March til Sept, 9am-6pm (from £249 for two).
